Searching
Type a suburb or a four-digit postcode, then tick the types of home you need: SIL, SDA, STA or MTA. Results list the newest sightings first, with full homes after the ones with places. If a suburb has no homes listed, you'll see the six nearest instead, each with its distance, which is useful when a participant is flexible about location.
Each area page lists the suburbs and homes in that area. A suburb with its own page also shows the nearest homes around it and local access details such as stations and hospitals.
What a listing can and can't tell you
A listing shows what the provider published about the home: type, SDA design category, bedrooms, places available, who the home suits and the support on offer, where they say. It also shows the date we last saw the home on their website.
- It can't confirm that a place is still free today. Providers update their pages at different speeds.
- It can't tell you whether a home suits the participant, how housemates get on or what the roster looks like.
- It doesn't mean we've checked the provider or the home. Home Connections is a directory.
Shortlisting and checking providers
Before putting a home in front of a participant, confirm availability directly with the provider and check their registration on the NDIS Commission's register. SIL providers must be registered, or have applied before 1 October 2026, and every SDA home must be enrolled with the NDIA.
Where a home has a separate SDA provider and SIL provider, ask who's responsible for what, and ask to see the roster of care, including overnight support and how irregular support days are handled.
Sharing with participants and families
Every suburb and area page has its own address, so you can send a participant or family a link to the homes near where they want to live. Our Easy Read page explains the site in short sentences with a picture beside each one, and our guides for families and on visiting a home are written for them to read too.
Spotted something wrong?
If a listing looks out of date or wrong, tell us through our contact page. Providers can ask us to add, correct or remove homes through the provider form, and we act on every request within the week.
