A Changing Places hoist at the Dome and a free beach wheelchair at Eastern Beach

Geelong Library and Heritage Centre, known as the Dome, has an accredited Changing Places on its ground floor, with a ceiling hoist and a height-adjustable change bench. Eastern Beach Reserve has a free beach wheelchair for people with limited mobility during lifeguard patrol months only. The council says anyone using the beach wheelchair must have support people, and no hoist is available for transfers. If you have a disability or are a carer, the National Wool Museum on Moorabool Street lends MLAK keys free for a day.
